2022 "Under Moon"
Thomas Klein and Karen Bößer will present the performance "Under Moon" on June 15, 2022 as part of the Schumannfest 2022, "Neuland Vol. 2". The performance
is a scenic-musical collaboration in which the animalistic, essential in humans is reflected. An adapted ego and its animal instincts wrestle with each other, become
visible in turn. Morals and drives, forms of egoism, passion, controversial attitudes and desires flash up and want to dominate. Opposed to this is the desire and
insight for balance. Karen Bößers dance performance leads into a scenic world of density, intensity, transparency, lightness and abstraction - congenially carried by
Thomas Kleins aka Solyst electro and tribal beats with drums. Together they struggle to balance the kaleidoscopic centrifugal forces towards humanity and justice.

2020 "The Other Reason - Exaltation. Trance. Ecstasy"
An installative Performance by Bößer & Szörenyi
"The Other Reason - exaltation, trance, ecstasy" is an installation performance combining contemporary dance, live music, video projections and liquid materials
creating images and spaces where stasis and flow, inner and outer entangle. Bößer & Szörenyi aim to free the energies of disintegrating states of consciousness
while dissecting them, through the senses and formally. Supported by Thomas Klein's oscillating pull of tribal beats and amplified by acoustic and visual rhythms
and effects, The Other Reason takes both performers and audiences on a horizon-expanding journey between projection and imagination. Movements, images,
sounds, smells and your own play of thoughts merge into a space of suggestion, atmospheric density and growing openness. Immersion in other states of
consciousness does not represent a flight from the world, but a purposeful calling of the "other reason" - a horizon of consciousness beyond the rational.

Getting to know the work of Karen Bößer, Düsseldorf
What do we look for when we watch dancers? What do we expect? What do we feel? What does their performance have to do with us?
Karen Bößer has been exploring these and other questions in her work as a choreographer and dancer for years. Her performances open up spaces for intensive
encounters between audience and dancers. Her latest project "Intersection/The Art of Identity" is no exception.
Together, audience members and performers embark on a journey of encounters, traversing a course of rapprochement and mutual discovery. The focus is as much on
the individual as on the group as a whole.
Following the performance, Karen Bößer's award-winning dance film S3NSE will be shown at the Goethe Institute in Rabat. S3NSE is a cinematic experiment full of poetry
and intensity. The English word for "sense" means both rational understanding and sensual perception. It acts as a bridge between the individual and the world. One that
must be crossed anew every moment. S3NSE is an invitation to empathize, to listen and simply to be authentically human.
For all those who would like to exchange ideas, there will be a discussion with Karen Bößer and the participating performers at the end of the film.

„Intersection/The Art of Identity“ at Al Akhawayn Universität, Ifrane Marokko
Date/Time: July 17 from 7 p.m.
The interdisciplinary performance project “Intersection - The Art of Identity” is dedicated to the perception of the self, using means of sensory intelligence. Series of
sequences inspire encounters with oneself as a human being, a journey and rapprochement to the other, ending with the rediscovery of networking as a group. It offers
viewers a special kind of abstract, approachable experience and a meeting place where people come together and experience togetherness from different angles.
"Intersection/The Art of Identity" was created in collaboration with the visual artist Beatrix Szörenyi and the musician Isabel Eddouks Taurel at the invitation of the School
of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (SSAH) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane.
